Overview:
Matheran is a quaint hill station in Maharashtra, India, known for its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty. Unlike other places, cars aren’t allowed here, making it unique. Situated about 90 km from Mumbai and 120 km from Pune, it’s a popular weekend escape for city dwellers. “Matheran” means “forest on the forehead” in Marathi, and true to its name, it’s nestled amidst lush greenery in the Western Ghats, around 800 meters above sea level.
This place is a treasure trove of old-world charm, with vintage Parsi bungalows and well-preserved British colonial architecture dotting the landscape. The roads here are distinct, made of red laterite earth. Plus, it’s an eco-sensitive area, recognized and protected by the Indian government.

Itinerary:
DAY 1
- Upon your Pick up at Pune, you would be received by our representatives who would escort you to Matheran.
- On reaching the town, check in at the hotel and take some rest.
- After light refreshments, go out to explore the amazing town.
- Proceed to admire the George Point, a beautiful Sunset Point also called as Porcupine Point.
- Next visit to the Echo Point and experience the echo effect.
- After some time, reach back to the hotel for spending the evening at leisure.
- Have an overnight’s stay at Matheran.
DAY2
- Have a healthy breakfast before starting.
- Visit Louisa point, Alexander point, Monkey Point, and Charlotte Lake.
- Have lunch at your own(Not included in the package)
- Post lunch, spend the rest of your day at leisure.
- Stroll through the local markets, and indulge in a leisure walk.
- After the day’s shenanigans, check out of the hotel and leave for your journey towards home.
